If you’re an ED doc, you probably love the iphone.But now that there are over 10,000 different apps in the App Store listed under “Medical” and “Healthcare & Fitness” you may be a bit bamboozled as to which apps to try. Not to worry… Houston Neal from SoftwareAdvice.com has an updated list of the best medical apps for doctors and medical students.
Now that we know what NOT to do and what not to say as patients in the ED. The next question is, what shouldn’t we wear as a patient to the ED? Here are the Top 10 things NOT to wear to the ED.

Now that pretty much everyone on the ‘Life in the Fast Lane’ team has an iPhone (some of us more belatedly than others) its time to throw out a few of our favourite Apps… In no particular order. Some more obvious than others. Some more medical than others!
Many recent blogs have discussed or linked to articles about patients who have died in ED waiting rooms. Thanks to SymTym for some other examples – from Sacramento, and more evidence of problems with ER waiting times in the US. There is even an erudite weblog to help health care providers shorten waiting times and improve patient flow.
