Ed -- John Gallagher was amazing in the late 80s. He probably marks the downfall of the All Blacks in a lot of ways -- he was the spearhead (excuse the pun on his later experiences in the North of England) of the mass exodus to rugby league that ushered in the professional era of Rugby Union. The All Blacks have never been the same since.
