Doctors from the Bush Innovate in the City

Really looking forward to #RMEC13 from 27-29 June in Brisbane.

There will be 150+ delegates attending the 2nd Remote Medical Education Conference, organised by the RVTS (Remote Vocational Training Scheme). The key objective of the conference is to discuss the important role that medical education plays in supporting and extending health services to rural and remote communities of Australia.

“The conference will be looking at ways that new technology and educational techniques can be applied to the rural and remote context. #RMEC13 will provide a diverse range of presentations and workshops aimed a challenging our current thinking and inspiring fresh debate” RVTS CEO Dr Pat Giddings

There is a great line up of speakers and talks scheduled which are accessible on the RVTS mobile web app so anybody can tag along. Great to see the proactive implementation of speaker interviews PRIOR to the start of the conference so that attendees can maximise the discussion in a semi-flipped classroom model.

Really looking forward to meeting fellow tweeters in person (tweetup) and assisting with educational platform creation. Will be sure to keep you updated.

Last thing on the agenda – watch this video…and make sure I practice NOTHING that it preaches
