Mulga Snakes are large aggressive snakes found throughout inland and northern Australia. They usually inflict a large bite, produce a significant amount of venom and are potentially lethal. Envenoming by the Collett’s Snake is rare, has only been reported in snake handlers and has features of envenoming similar to Mulga Snakes. Red-bellied Black Snakes are found along the Southeastern coastal areas and the envenoming is not usually lethal, even without treatment.
