What is the truth that lasts?

Dr Newman helps us to tackle hyperbole and fear-mongering media head on by understanding the value of data in the age of information…

As health care professionals we all have a responsibility to help curate and deliver the most accurate information and helpĀ define the ‘truth that lasts” – we should not take this responsibility lightly

Dr. Newman is the Director of Clinical Research in the Emergency Department at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. For the past ten years he has concentrated his work in medical evidence translation and appraisal. He is also the editor-in-chief for TheNNT.com, a resource for health care evidence summaries, and SMART-EM, a monthly audio review.

Brilliant. Great podcast, and something every medical professional should take to heart. Even if you’re not an academic, you have a responsibility to be an ambassador of medical research and scholarship to your patients.

Fantastic talk… Although slightly depressing to learn that most of what we do is actually completely useless!
