Emergency Medicine Cases (EMC) is Canada’s premier educational website dedicated to keeping staff physicians and emergency medicine residents up to date on the most current topics in emergency medicine. Each month they present cases to two of Canada’s leading experts in emergency medicine, and discuss clinical pearls, important management issues and current clinical literature around the cases.
EMC highlight key practical learning points that you can be used in everyday practice. The discussions are skillfully edited so that the monthly program that is available for immediate listening or for download to your computer, handheld or ipod, is packed with relevant information.
This method of learning, using case examples, is an excellent and very effective method of building a core medical knowledge base.
EmergencyMedicineCases.com was launched in March 2010 by an emergency physician (Anton Helman, MD) who works in both academic and community emergency departments in Toronto, Canada. It is an independent project without any outside affiliation, and therefore is not influenced by any sponsor.
To obtain access to the entire library of episodes you must register on the home page under the ‘Members’ area. Subscriptions are free until September 2010, when there will be an annual fee for staff physicians and a discounted rate for residents and students.
