Emergency in the Shed

Emergency in the Shed

Emergency in the Shed is Australia’s first Emergency Nursing Podcasts, created by emergency nurse educator David Corkhill from the Gold Coast Hospital.

It provides emergency nurses with weekly podcasts hosted on iTunes. The team review a variety of topic’s pertinent to emergency nursing including interviews with leading Australian clinicians and clinical updates. Basically it helps keep you up to date with what’s new in emergency nursing.

Emergency in the shed a weekly Podcast of news, views, and interviews for emergency nurses by emergency nurses

Unfortunately the Emergency in the Shed team do not have a dedicated external website. Instead they host regular updates on their Facebook Page and can be found within the excellent Gold Coast Hospital ED resource – EmergencyWEB

My favourite podcast so far:

  • Tasers in ED
  • Early pregnancy assessment
  • Gastro in kids
  • Asthma management
  • Head injuries
