Resuscitation Guidelines
2010 brings about the next stage in the resuscitation guidelines set to be published towards the end of this year. Currently there is an extensive scientific review of the current guidelines being undertaken by ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation), you can view the draft worksheets here
Following dates to remember:
- 27/28 April 2010 Consensus on Science (CoS) document will be signed off by ILCOR. CoS document embargoed and submitted for publication to the journals Circulation and Resuscitation.
- 15/16/17 July 2010 Joint ARC and NZRC meeting to review/prepare guidelines in response to the resuscitation evidence being published in CoS. Councils will have confidential pre-publication access to CoS for this purpose.
- 28/29 October 2010 CoS document will be published in the journals Resuscitation and Circulation. Public access to CoS available from this date. Final draft ARC and NZRC guidelines circulated for comment with feedback required by 24th November 2010.
- 26/27 November 2010 Joint ARC and NZRC meeting to review feedback received and ratify guidelines.
- December 2010 Release of ARC and NZRC Resuscitation Guidelines.
