- Better answers began with some sort of definition of what “medically clear” meant or at least a rationale for the actions being undertaken.
- It was also expected that an organized attempt would be made to differentiate organic delerium from an acute psychosis which includes elements of history, examination and investigation.
- The mini-mental state exam was the most obvious way to make this differentiation.
- The question was best answered in the context of the scenario presented with it being essential to consider drug intoxication and to gain extensive collateral history.
