- The overall pass rate for this question was 72 / 82 (87.8%).
- Examiners considered this a standard and expected question and were disappointed to see candidates fail for lack of knowledge in a core area.
- It was expected that an answer would include the activation sequence for a code brown, a command/control structure for the ED, CBR decontamination process, liaison with other departments/hospitals.
- An answer was strengthened by the inclusion of a recovery/debrief though this was not considered mandatory.
- Failures were usually due to a lack of knowledge particularly with regards to chemical biological response.
