A big, big thank you to all those who voted in the recent Medgadget 2008 Medical Weblog Awards.
To be nominated for an award was an a huge compliment, and to win was a great honor – but an honor that must be shared with ALL MedBloggers – those individuals who take time out of their busy schedules to share erudite commentary, intelligent thought and altruistic advice with the medical community and beyond. It is these dedicated people who inspired me to start blogging and inspire me to continue to share knowledge, resources and commentary through the medium of blogging. I urge all readers to read, review, bookmark and revel in the thoughts and ideals of the MedBlogger community.
The year 2008 may have had its problems, but the medical blogosphere prospered as it grew and attracted ever more readers. From literary medblogs to ones focusing on technology, the medical blogosphere continues to entertain, educate, and empower its readers from all over the world. Some blogs have thousands of followers, while others are in the dozens. All of the blogs have at least two things in common: a bond with their readers and a passion for medicine. Medgadget.com

I was delighted to find this blog late last year. It is encouraging to read an Australian medical blog that presents a balance of information, insight and humour. Congratulations on your well-deserved win!
