Hakia PubMed Semantic Search

Hakia PubMed Semantic Search hakia1

Hakia semantic technologies have turned their attention to professional medical search with the provision of a dedicated semantic medical search of PubMed to provide credible, fresh and relevant search results. This move away from the ‘popularity-ranked’ results produces some enlightening and interesting search results to queries. The medical version for hakia can be found at these addresses

I have been testing the Hakia PubMed semantic search for 3 months with some interesting results and will be producing some comparative tables for semantic and ontologic searches to common professional queries later in the year. As with all semantic search the greatest surprise is that the ‘question’ in ones head can be directly written to the search bar and appropriate results are returned! The old model of translating the ones pre-formatted cogitation into ‘search compatible three-keyword dictacisms’ no longer holds and will soon be a thing of the past.

That said – here is a technophiles review of Google versus Hakia on search. Not impressed? Try it for yourself with key terms posed as questions and the results are generally very impressive. Thanks to the advancement of alternative search engines, sematnic process and ontology we are beginning to break out from the black hole of keyword search and enter the pixelated dreamworld of today…’Seek and you shall find – seriously’
